November 2011

Post Date: 2012-08-05

Well two months have gone by since I started this post, and I am FINALLY getting around to finishing it up. Over the last two months we have sold our home in Garber, bought a house in Guthrie, and I have completed a summer class (Marketing and Economics).  With all of that going on and work crazy as usual I have not known if I am coming or going most of the time.

However, now that the house is sold, we are moved, and my class is one night a week instead of two... hopefully I will have more time for fun stuff like this!  We closed on our new home on May 18, and made the official move on June 15-17.  That was STRESSFUL!!!!!  I did not like the idea of people coming in and touching and going through all of our stuff... but Ryan was not about to let me pack and move it ourselves.  :)  So the packing began and I sat poolside studying for a test and checking e-mails.  That was a lot less stressful for me!!  Packing was all they did on day one.  That evening I was checking the boxes they packed with my snow globes.... and then proceeded to unpack all but two boxes of them.  Long story short on the globes, they got to repack them the next day.  I moved those boxes myself.

The following day the packers loaded the truck.  The 17 the unloading began.  Other than four broken dishes, a broken globe, scratched nightstand, scratched headboard (right in the middle... sigh), and a broken bookshelf we think everything made it okay.  I was so happy when this process was over.

Below are pictures from November 2011.

We had our yearly pumpkin carving contest.  Tiffany won this year!!!!  However, we decided you have to be an "official" member of the family to receive the trophy.  Tiffany claimed her prize money but would have to wait until after the wedding in January to claim ownership of the traveling trophy.  Below are the pumpkins!!!
