Tid Bits From February

February has been a busy month. Maybe it is because we don't get as many days in February...

I have decided to go back to school, so to start the month off, I took the GMAT. Thanks to Ryan, I made a high enough score to get accepted into school. I applied to the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond and have been accepted into the Masters of Business Administration program. I am very excited and am looking forward to this challenge. I start classes this fall. UCO offers a part-time evening MBA program that will allow me to keep my full time job and attend school. It will take me approximately 2 1/2 years to finish this program. I want to say a huge thank you to Ryan. He spent a lot of time in the evenings helping me prepare for this exam and even took the day off to drive me the day of the exam. You are always there to support me in whatever I am doing. Thank you so much Ry! I love you!

Ben went back to the doctor last Monday and is now able to put pressure on his ankle. He will be walking with crutches for one more week and then should be able to walk without them. He (and Angie) have been such a trooper. He has done everything the doctor told him to do and it has paid off.

Below are some pictures from the month.

Below: You just never know what Tad will be doing next.

Below: Tad found his belly button!!! If you ask him where his belly button is... he will show you! He likes to find yours too. So cute! I'm trying to teach him where his nose is, but we are still working on that one. On another note... he knows what sound a cow makes and can moo!

Below: Ryan and I went and watched the Super Bowl at his parents house. Before the game started, Kirk and Alyssa were playing some serious cards.
Below: Isn't Grayson the cutest Colt's fan EVER!!!
Below: Peek-a-boo!!
Below: Ryan and I celebrated Valentine's Day on Friday instead of Sunday. We went to El Vaquero in Stillwater... the best Mexican food in town.
Below: Tad was tired... and by the looks of it Ryan was too.
Below: The Tad man is happy again. He is my little buddy!
Below: Ryan and I got Tad this big frog balloon for Valentine's Day. He had so much fun dragging it around and playing with it. (I might have had more fun at the store carrying it around by its 15ft long string.)

Below: Some more balloon action. I'm not sure if this frog is still alive or not...
Below: Tad was showing us his belly button. He is so proud!
Below: Ashley and I were making key lime pies. Who knew Tad would like limes?
Below: Tad was sleeping with Grandma Brenda.
Below: Ryan and I took Tad for a walk in his wagon and saw this across the road in the neighbors yard. I chased it... yes I am faster. (Did you know they hop??) I ended up chasing it under the neighbors car... it disappeared so it might still be in their car?!?!?!
Below: Tad rides so well in his wagon. We were going to get the mail and then go see his Mom at DeShazo's.
Below: Tad sporting his overalls Grandma Brenda got him for his birthday. Just like his Daddy!!
Below: Tad was riding horsey with Poppa.
Below: Tad climbs on everything these days. What a face full of mischief.

Hope you all had a great February.

Tad Turns One!!!

Friday, January 29, Tad turned one!!! Ok... so I know I am way behind. I will explain all of that a little later, hopefully in my next few posts.

Saturday, January 30, we had his party at my Mom's house. As with anything Bryan and Ashley do, something has to happen. They got married in the middle of a huge snow/ice storm. Most of Garber was without power but somehow the church they were getting married in had power at least until it was over. Tad is carrying on this family tradition. The day before Tad's birthday party it snowed and snowed and snowed. Unfortunately, Ashley's family was coming from Laverne and Erik(sp) and because of the snow they were unable to make it. We missed them and wish they could have made it.

The gang there that day was Tad (of course), Bryan and Ashley, my Mom and Dad, Gigi and Poppa, Ben and Angie, Ryan and I, Jacob, Uncle Alan, Aunt Christy and Suzanne, Uncle Horace and Aunt Jan, and Lisa. I think that was everyone.

The day was so much fun and I think Tad had a blast. Below are some pictures of the day.

Below: I was writing in Tad's card and he decided he would add his own little message.

Below: Tad was trying to get into his presents early. You can see where he has tried to start unwrapping the gift he is sitting on.
Below: Okay... so you won't let me open them, then I will just stand on them.
Below: Gigi (Grandma Lou) makes an awesome chocolate cake. Ashley loves it so much that she chose that to be Tad's first birthday cake. Gigi made a small cupcake for him and a sheet cake for the rest of us. As you can tell he is taking after his Daddy and enjoyed the fire.
Below: Aunt Jan, Uncle Horace, Gigi and Poppa were watching Tad eat his cake. (He ate every last piece)
Below: Tad cramming in his cake. He LOVED it!!
Below: That cake was so good Tad had to eat what was left in his bib.
Below: Tad still had to take a nap. Shortly after this photo was taken Tad and I went and took a 1.5 hour nap in bed. He is my kind of sleeper!!
Below: Tad playing Greedy with his Momma!
Below: The gang playing greedy.
Below: The gang playing Rook.
Below: Suzanne won Tad over with her chocolate cake.
Below: Aunt Christy and Suzanne posed for a picture while watching Tad open presents.
Below: Grandma Brenda helping Tad open presents.
Below: Tad wasn't sure why everyone was sitting around watching him. Still opening those presents!
Below: Aunt Angie helped Tad put together one of his presents.
Below: Tad had ran off somewhere and my Mom and Ashley were trying to get him to come back.
Below: Uncle Horace and Tad were having a serious discussion.
Below: Tad loves his play toy from Grandpa Dale.
Below: Aunt Christy and Tad are picking on Uncle Jake.
Below: Tad loves his rocking chair from Uncle Horace.
Below: Mom and Dad are helping Tad open more presents.
Below: Tad got a singing card! (He loves to dance)
Below: Tad crawling through the tunnels in his new toy.
Below: Lisa is showing off Tad in his overalls. He matches his Daddy!
Below: Grandma and Tad were playing tug-o-war.
I think everyone had a lot of fun that day. It has been a lot of fun watching Tad grow up this past year. Until next time.... Take care!
