Thank God I'm a Country Boy

Post Date: 2011-05-07

My second semester and second class is finished! I took the final this evening and was still able to make it to part of Monday madness dinner! This semester went a lot smoother than last. It was just a lot less stressful... and dare I say I enjoyed it?!? It was a human resources class so it caught my interest. Plus the professors were awesome! I heard some of the corniest jokes this semester. All in all I am glad to have another semester behind me and am looking forward to the summer break.

I have many plans for the summer break. Among those include: Relaxing, family time, river trips, weddings, catching up on developing pictures, finish painting the back bathroom, harvest, 4th of July cookout, and did I mention RELAXING.

As I think about my summer projects, both listed and unlisted, I realize that I am one of those people. I have great ideas (at least I think I do) about a project then get halfway through them and stop. Some I go back and finish, some will forever be incomplete, and some will forever be ongoing. I think whether we realize it or not we are all like that. It just effects different parts of our lives.

Ryan and I are bound and determined to take a vacation this year. The last real vacation we went on was our honeymoon. I met up with him a few times while he was traveling, but it was not a real vacation because he still had to work. Any ideas on where we should go? Some ideas I have been thinking about are: snow skiing, The Grand Canyon, a warm beach, back to Michigan (LOVE Traverse City), California, Road trips to see my girls Ashley/Kelsey... What are your thoughts. Where have you been that you would recommend to others?

Onto why you really come here:

Not sure why the pictures are showing up a little unclear.

Below: Addison and I having a funny conversation.

Below: Ryan introduced Bryan to a Korean restaurant in Enid and he loves it. He loves it so much that he attempted to create his own kimchi. According to Wikipedia kimchi is: a traditional fermented Korean side dish made of cabbage and a variety of vegetables and seasonings. We are all a little unsure of this creation but Tad loved it. He loves it so much that kimchi was all he would eat for lunch one day.

Below: Bright eyed Ava. She no longer uses a pacifier. Two fingers will do!

Below: Tad and Tiff playing with a mirror. I wonder which one was the fairest of them all?

Below: Tad can dribble a ball really well. When you ask if he is going to play basketball he says "No, football."

Below: Gigi and Poppa with their girls!

Below: Tad puts toys down his boots.

Below: Ava is always a happy girl.

Below: Yep... Tad had Jake, Tiffany, and myself in the tent with him.

Below: If you're happy and you know it clap your hands...

Below: Ma was doing this little piggy with Tad and when you get to his little toe he crinkles his face and goes "wee wee wee wee"... Ma and I were cracking up!

Below: Tad and his Momma going to see the baby sheep.

Below: He LOVES the sheep. Ma has some near her house and every time we take a ride on the lawn mower we have to go and see the sheep.

Below: Tad wanted to, but wasn't quite brave enough to let the baby sheep suck his finger.

Below: Tad holding the baby sheep.

Below: Tad loving on the baby sheep.

Below: The sheep outside the barn.

Below: So sweet!

Below: Another bright smile from Ava!

Below: Tad went missing and when we went to find him we found him in the bedroom with the breast pump turned on.

Below: Checking out Ma's Valentine's Day card.

Below: I had just gotten a wart removed off my finger (gross I know) and Tad saw the band aid and needed a band aid also.

Bryan and Ashley held a dinner for everyone at their house. It was so much fun and we had some great food! Below are some pictures from the dinner.

Below: And the party really started. Bryan started playing the song "Thank God I'm a Country Boy" by John Denver and Tad went crazy! He loves the song... and loves to dance to the song!

Below: Tad was dancing so hard that he had to take all of his clothes off because he was getting hot. He kept having Angie lift him up to adjust the thermostat. Below he has some foot stomping going on.

Below: Then Aunt G got in on the action!

Below: Love this picture. This country boy had to wear his cowboy hat!

Below: Then Tad pulled Aunt G and Bu both onto the dance floor!

Below: All the while Uncle Ry and Addison were looking at us all like we were crazy.

Below: Some more dancing!

Below: Tired Ava and I.

Until Next Time

Ju
